Free Historical Reenactment with the Association Amici di Villa Litta
How many people from Lainate stroll or run along the towpath of the Villoresi Canal without knowing when it was built, how, and why…?
Well, all these questions will be answered during the free Historical Reenactment on September 6th and 7th, where - among water games, stories, and characters in 19th‑century costumes - you’ll have the chance to meet Eugenio Villoresi himself, who in 1862 presented the project to create this artificial canal.
As part of the Fiera di San Rocco celebrations, the Nymphaeum of Villa Litta will be decked out for the occasion. Volunteers from the Amici di Villa Litta Association, with the extraordinary participation of the historical dance group Chaine de danses, the MDM Music Dance & Mimic Art school, and the entertainers from Compagnia Un Mondo di Avventure, will bring to life what everyday life in Lainate and at the Villa was like when the Villoresi didn’t exist…
