“ANNA'S WEDDING
Spanish, Italian and French Airs de Cour during the marriage of Anna of Austria and Louis XIII "
“The wedding of Anna”, concert realized within the project “Ville di Delizie, parks and Waters. New perspectives for the north of Milan ”funded by the Cariplo Foundation, it is hosted on 21 April in the magnificent Villa Litta in Lainate and features the students of Ancient Music of the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music in Milan.
At the center of the program are the Spanish, Italian and French court melodies performed on the occasion of the marriage between the future parents of the Sun King, then teenagers: the romantic Anna of Austria, of Spanish origin, and the shy and reserved Louis XIII of France, son of Henry the Great and Maria de 'Medici.
The concert is part of the events linked to the 160th anniversary of the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music (1862).
